Come and join me inside a world of fairytale and make believe, inhabited by whimsical creatures crafted from textiles, painted and adorned. I sculpt a wide range of such creatures, from hares dashing though sunflower fields to whales exploring the oceans, guided by magical crowns. Art dolls are shaped with curious head dresses. Mermaids have glittering tails, swim rings for safety, and the all important mystic crown for extra magic! All these unique sculptures are designed by me, and are expertly sewn and hand-painted with embellishments of beads, embroidery, stitching and ancient lace. But, most importantly, each creature is formed with love, care and a little quirkiness thrown in!

We so often mourn our childhood days, when life was bright and magical. My creatures and dolls are created to evoke these feelings deep within, connecting us to our childhood hopes and dreams: conjuring a world in which to escape to times of wonder and delight. These unique characters jolt us from the tedium of everyday life to remind us that there is beauty everywhere. The sculptures are formed to live in the homes of people finding joy in the smallest of details, the tiniest stitch, the well placed bead, appreciating the beauty of century old lace, the delicately painted faces and bodies. Such people will always find a place in their home for items of beauty and wonder, or will share their dreams through gifts to friends, family and others close to their hearts. People from all over the world collect my magical whimsical art, liking my work, but also sensing the way in which it echoes their deepest distant dreams. I am so happy that the love I commit is rewarded by their pleasure.

My passion for art was ignited many years ago on a windy hill overlooking the mysterious Cornish coast. I watched enthralled whilst my headteacher turned pencil and paper into the image of an old log: an image so captivating that it transcended that chilly place and time. Since then my path has been winding, but I am fortunate it included study at the renowned Royal Academy of Fine Art in Brussels. My path is no longer classical, but it is my own, and I seek to share my own joy in it with all those for whom it resonates.
